Bulletproof Collagen Protein Bars in Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough are a high-protein snack built around collagen as the primary protein source. Collagen is the most abundant structural protein in the body, and is studied for its role in supporting skin elasticity, joint connective tissue, and muscle recovery — making it a more targeted choice than a standard whey or plant-protein bar.
This bar is designed for people who want a functional snack rather than a confection dressed up as health food. It suits an active routine well: between meals when energy drops, post-training when the body is drawing on protein for repair, or as a mid-morning option when you need something substantial without a full meal. The chocolate chip cookie dough format makes it genuinely palatable rather than a chore to eat — an important detail for consistency.
Bulletproof has built its reputation on formulating products with specific biological goals in mind, and the choice to lead with collagen protein rather than a cheaper whey isolate reflects that positioning. As with any collagen-based protein bar, it is worth noting that collagen is not a complete protein — it lacks sufficient tryptophan — so it works best alongside a varied diet rather than as a sole protein source. Check the packaging for the full macronutrient breakdown and ingredient list before purchasing if you have specific dietary requirements.
Collagen protein, Chocolate chips

Eat one bar as a snack between meals, post-training, or whenever you need a protein-rich option without a full meal. No preparation required. Check the packaging for the full macronutrient profile to fit it into your daily intake targets.
Collagen is the structural protein found in skin, joints, tendons, and bones. Unlike whey, it is studied specifically for connective tissue and skin support rather than purely muscle synthesis. It is not a complete protein, so it works best as part of a varied diet.
It works well as a mid-morning or mid-afternoon snack, or immediately after training when the body is actively using protein for repair. It is convenient enough to carry daily.
Collagen is typically bovine-derived and the bar contains chocolate chips, which may include dairy. Check the full ingredient and allergen information on the packaging to confirm suitability for your diet.
It is designed as a snack rather than a meal replacement. Collagen protein is not a complete protein source on its own, so it is better positioned alongside a balanced meal plan rather than substituting for a main meal.
Check the packaging or product listing for the exact count per box, as this can vary by batch or format.

I've been through so many protein bars that taste like cardboard wrapped in disappointment. These genuinely taste like cookie dough — not in a 'close enough' way, but actually good. I keep a couple in my gym bag and have one post-session. Noticed my joints feeling a bit more comfortable after a few weeks, though hard to attribute that to one thing. Will absolutely reorder.

Started using these during half marathon training as a recovery snack. They sit well in my stomach — no bloating, which I do get with some whey bars. Flavour is genuinely enjoyable. A bit pricey but I was spending similar on worse products before.

Love the flavour and the ingredients are spot on for what I'm looking for. Only gripe is the foil wrapper tears awkwardly almost every time — you end up picking bits of wrapper out of your bar. Small thing but annoying when you're eating on the go. Would still buy again.

Does what it says, would buy again. Good texture, doesn't leave you feeling heavy.

I work long shifts and used to hit a wall around 11am. Started having one of these between breakfast and lunch and it really does keep me going. Not overly sweet either, which I appreciate. The chocolate chip bits add a nice crunch.

Really happy with these overall — texture is excellent, they're filling, and I like that the protein source is collagen rather than whey (I've been prioritising joint health alongside training). The only thing I'd flag is there's a faint aftertaste that lingers for a few minutes after eating. Not unpleasant exactly, but noticeable. Won't stop me buying them.
