ARRAE Constipation is a herbal supplement formulated to support relief from occasional constipation and sluggish digestion. It sits within ARRAE's broader functional wellness range, which focuses on digestive health using plant-based active ingredients rather than synthetic laxatives.
Herbal digestive formulas of this type typically work by combining ingredients that stimulate intestinal motility, soften stool, or support bile production — mechanisms well studied in traditional and integrative medicine. They tend to suit people who experience infrequent or slow bowel movements, whether that is stress-related, travel-induced, or tied to dietary changes.
This kind of supplement is particularly relevant for those who want an alternative to osmotic or stimulant laxatives, or who find that fibre supplementation alone is not sufficient. It fits neatly into an evening routine or as an occasional intervention rather than a daily protocol, though specific timing guidance is on the packaging.
ARRAE has built a following among clinicians and patients who prefer clean-label, targeted formulations over broad-spectrum digestive blends. The brand prioritises ingredient transparency, and its products are designed to address a specific complaint rather than cover many at once — a principle our own doctors appreciate. As with any herbal preparation that influences gut motility, it is worth reviewing with a clinician if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or taking medications that affect digestion or absorption.
Herbal blend for digestion

Follow the dosage instructions on the packaging. This type of herbal digestive formula is commonly taken in the evening or when symptoms arise, rather than as a fixed daily supplement. Take with a full glass of water.
This depends on the individual and the underlying cause of constipation. Herbal formulas that support gut motility or stool softening typically act within several hours to overnight. Check the packaging for specific guidance, as timing can vary with the formula.
This product is designed for occasional or as-needed use rather than as a daily supplement. If you are experiencing chronic constipation, it is worth speaking to a clinician to identify the underlying cause rather than relying on any supplement long-term.
Herbal ingredients that influence gut motility can affect the absorption of certain medications. If you take any prescribed medicines, particularly those with a narrow therapeutic window, consult your GP or pharmacist before use.
It is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding without medical advice. Those with inflammatory bowel conditions, bowel obstruction, or severe digestive disorders should speak to a clinician before using any herbal laxative-type formula.
Standard laxatives — osmotic, stimulant, or bulk-forming — work through well-characterised pharmaceutical mechanisms. Herbal formulas like this one use plant-based ingredients that may support motility and digestion more gently, though individual responses vary. Neither replaces investigation into persistent constipation.

I've tried a few herbal options over the years and most either do nothing or are way too harsh. This is gentle but effective — I noticed a real difference within a couple of days of using it. I take it in the evening and by morning things are much more... cooperative. Worth every penny for me.

Long-haul flights absolutely wreck my digestion. Took this while I was away and it genuinely helped things move along without any cramping or urgency. I'll be packing this in my hand luggage from now on.

It works — I'm not disputing that. My digestion has been noticeably better since I started taking it in the evening. My only gripe is the £64.99 price tag. For a supplement I'd want to use fairly regularly, that adds up. Dropping it to maybe £50 would make it a very easy yes.

Recommended by my GP after I mentioned I wanted something plant-based. Pleasantly surprised — works without any of the griping you get from some laxatives.

I don't use this every day, more as an occasional reset when things slow down — usually when I'm stressed or eating differently. It's become a staple in my medicine cabinet. Appreciate that it's a focused formula rather than a shotgun blend of every digestive herb going.

Does exactly what it says. I was sceptical of herbal stuff after a few disappointments but a friend swore by this and she was right. No drama, just works.
