About This Product.

IQBAR Fruit Lovers is a nutrition bar formulated to support both brain function and everyday physical performance. It combines plant-based protein from pea protein with Lion's Mane mushroom, an ingredient studied for its potential role in supporting cognitive function and nerve health. Almonds contribute healthy fats and a degree of satiety, making this a more considered snack than most convenience bars.

The fruit-forward flavour profile makes it an accessible option for people who want functional ingredients without the taste of a traditional protein bar. It suits those looking to add cognitive support to a busy day, active people needing a portable protein source, or anyone trying to move away from ultra-processed snack foods without sacrificing convenience.

Lion's Mane is the standout ingredient here. It belongs to the nootropic mushroom category and is most often studied in the context of neuroplasticity and focus, though evidence in healthy adults is still developing. Pea protein is a well-tolerated plant protein source, appropriate for those avoiding dairy or soy. Almonds round out the macronutrient profile with fibre and unsaturated fats. As a food product rather than a concentrated supplement, this bar is a practical way to introduce functional ingredients into a routine without adding another capsule to the day.

How to Take It

i.

Enjoy as a snack between meals or as a portable pre- or post-activity option. No preparation needed. Check the packaging for the full nutritional breakdown and serving guidance.

Frequently Asked.

What does Lion's Mane actually do?

Lion's Mane is a functional mushroom studied for its potential to support neuroplasticity and cognitive function, particularly focus and nerve health. Evidence in healthy adults is promising but still developing, so it is best framed as a complementary addition to a balanced diet rather than a standalone cognitive treatment.

Is this suitable for vegans or those with dairy and soy allergies?

The protein source is pea protein, which is plant-based, and the listed ingredients do not include dairy or soy. However, check the packaging for full allergen information and any manufacturing cross-contamination notices before consuming if you have a diagnosed allergy.

How does this compare to taking a Lion's Mane supplement in capsule form?

A dedicated capsule supplement will typically deliver a more precise, concentrated dose of Lion's Mane. This bar is better suited to those who want a convenient, food-first approach or who are new to functional mushrooms and prefer to introduce them gradually.

Can I use this as a meal replacement?

It is designed as a snack bar rather than a complete meal replacement. It will contribute protein, fats, and functional ingredients, but check the macronutrient panel on the packaging to determine whether it meets your specific energy needs.

Who might not be suited to this product?

Those with tree nut allergies should check the packaging carefully given the almond content. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or managing a health condition, speak with your doctor before regularly consuming products containing functional mushrooms like Lion's Mane.

Finally a snack bar I actually look forward to

Been through so many protein bars that taste like chalky cardboard. These are genuinely fruity and don't have that weird aftertaste. I keep one in my bag for the commute and it actually keeps me going until lunch. The lion's mane thing is hard to measure obviously, but I've been sleeping better and feel less foggy mid-morning — could be coincidence, could be this. Either way I'll keep buying.

Good portable snack

Does exactly what I need between meetings. Tastes like actual fruit rather than artificial sweetener nonsense.

Decent bar, just a bit pricey for the quantity

Really like the flavour and the ingredient list is solid — pea protein sits well with me compared to whey. My only gripe is the price per bar when you break it down. At £24.99 for the pack you're paying quite a bit for what is ultimately a snack. Would buy more regularly if there were a subscription discount or slightly bigger box. That said, quality is clearly there.

Started taking these during half marathon training as a pre-run snack. Light enough that it doesn't weigh you down, gives you a decent bit of protein and the almond texture is satisfying. Would buy again without hesitation.

Swapped from a well-known competitor and not going back

A friend recommended these after I complained about the protein bar I'd been using for years — the old one was getting too sweet and overly processed. These feel much more considered. The fruit flavour is natural-tasting, not cloying. I'm dairy-free so the pea protein works really well for me. Can't verify the brain claims but I do feel like my afternoon slumps have been a bit less brutal. Either way it's a genuinely enjoyable snack, which is rare in this category.

Solid addition to the morning routine

Have one with my coffee instead of breakfast when I'm running late. Keeps me full, doesn't spike and crash me, and I appreciate not having to add another capsule to my supplement stack — the lion's mane being in a bar you'd eat anyway is a smart format. Texture is good, not too chewy.
