About This Product.

Humantra Elderberry Electrolytes is a daily hydration supplement combining key electrolytes and micronutrients in a plant-based, sugar-free sachet. Each sachet contains buffered vitamin C, methylated B12 (methylcobalamin), zinc citrate, chromium picolinate, and chloride sourced from Himalayan salt, sweetened with stevia and naturally flavoured with elderberry — no artificial colours, sweeteners, or additives.

The formula addresses a gap that plain water cannot fill. Electrolytes support fluid balance and muscle function during training or heat exposure. Vitamin C and B12 are studied for their role in reducing tiredness and supporting normal immune function. Zinc contributes to protein synthesis and normal skin, hair, and nail health. Chromium is included for its role in maintaining normal blood glucose levels, which matters for steady energy between meals and after exercise.

The elderberry flavour gives a crisp, lightly tart profile — a useful alternative for those who find standard citrus or synthetic-tasting electrolyte products unpleasant. It dissolves completely with no chalky residue, which makes consistent daily use easier to stick to.

This suits active individuals, those recovering from illness, or anyone whose diet or lifestyle leaves them routinely under-hydrated. It fits equally well as a morning ritual or a post-training recovery drink. The use of methylcobalamin (the active, methylated form of B12) rather than cyanocobalamin, and zinc citrate over cheaper oxide forms, reflects considered formulation choices that distinguish it from entry-level electrolyte products.

Vitamin C (buffered), Vitamin B12 (methylcobalamin), Zinc Citrate, Chromium Picolinate, Chloride (from Himalayan Salt), natural elderberry flavouring, stevia leaf extract. No added sugar, no artificial colours, no artificial sweeteners, no synthetic additives. Plant-based and vegan.

How to Take It

i.

Mix one sachet into 300–500ml of cold or room-temperature water and drink. It works well first thing in the morning, during or after exercise, or whenever you feel flat. On heavy training days or in hot weather, more than one sachet daily is considered safe.

Frequently Asked.

Who is this product most suited to?

It suits anyone who trains regularly, spends time in the heat, or simply struggles to stay adequately hydrated through water alone. It is also a practical option during or after illness, when electrolyte losses can be higher than usual.

Why methylcobalamin rather than standard B12?

Methylcobalamin is the active, methylated form of B12, which means it does not require conversion in the body before use. It is generally considered a more bioavailable choice, particularly for people with certain MTHFR gene variants that affect B12 metabolism.

Is this suitable for people managing their sugar intake?

The sachets are sugar-free and sweetened with stevia leaf extract. The formula also contains chromium picolinate, which is studied for its role in supporting normal blood glucose levels, making it a considered option for those monitoring their energy and glucose response.

Can I take this if I already take other supplements?

For most people, yes — but if you take other supplements containing zinc, vitamin C, or B12, check your combined daily intake against recommended levels. If you are on medication or managing a health condition, speak to your GP or prescriber before adding any new supplement.

How does the elderberry flavour compare to the Lychee variant?

Both share the same underlying electrolyte formula. Elderberry gives a crispier, slightly tart, more botanical profile; lychee is typically softer and more floral. The choice comes down to personal taste — neither contains artificial flavouring.

Finally an electrolyte that doesn't taste like a sports drink from 2003

Been through a few electrolyte products over the years and most of them have that artificial tang that I can't get past. This elderberry flavour is genuinely pleasant — lightly tart, not cloying. I mix it into about 400ml of water first thing in the morning before my run. Hard to say exactly what's doing what, but I've felt noticeably less sluggish on longer efforts lately. The sachet format means I can throw a few in my kit bag without thinking about it. Will be buying again.

Good daily hydration habit

Started taking this after a friend who runs marathons mentioned it. Dissolves cleanly, no gritty bits at the bottom. Taste is mild enough that I don't dread it. Nice to see proper ingredient choices rather than the cheap forms you get in most supermarket brands.

Use this post-training most days. Noticed I've been less crampy in the evenings after heavier sessions — could be coincidence but I've stuck with it.

Really solid formula, just wish the box was bigger

The product itself is great — elderberry flavour is subtle and refreshing, and I like that it's sugar-free without tasting like sweetener soup. I take it midafternoon when my energy dips between lunch and dinner and it does seem to help. My only real gripe is that 20 sachets goes fast when you're using one daily, so at £35 the cost per month adds up noticeably. A 30-sachet option would be much better value. Knocking one star off purely for that.

Replaced my old electrolyte tabs

I'd been using a fizzy tablet version for ages but it always left a slight chalky coating on my teeth. Swapped to this about six months ago and the difference in texture is immediately obvious — mixes completely clean. Flavour is understated in a good way. I use it the morning after a long cycle ride and it's become a proper part of my recovery routine.

Does exactly what it says. Been buying these for months now — they travel well, the flavour is decent, no complaints.
