About This Product.

PerfectAmino Uncoated by BodyHealth is an essential amino acid supplement in tablet form, designed to support muscle protein synthesis and bone mass. It contains all nine essential amino acids — the ones the body cannot produce itself — including the three branched-chain amino acids leucine, isoleucine, and valine, which are particularly relevant to muscle tissue repair and maintenance. The formula also includes lysine, phenylalanine, threonine, methionine, tryptophan, and histidine, alongside a nucleotide complex featuring compounds such as adenosine triphosphate, uridine, and related nucleosides. These nucleotides are studied for their potential role in cellular repair and recovery, though they are less commonly seen in standard amino acid products.

This product suits athletes in consistent training blocks who want a complete amino acid profile without relying on protein powders, as well as those with higher protein turnover needs — older adults maintaining lean mass, for example, or anyone managing recovery from illness or injury. The uncoated tablet format avoids the fillers and coatings found in many comparable products, which some users prefer. Being a vegan formula, it is suitable for plant-based diets where dietary essential amino acid intake can sometimes fall short. Each container provides 30 servings. As with all amino acid supplements, those with phenylketonuria should note the presence of phenylalanine and consult a clinician before use.

PerfectAmino Amino Acid Blend: L-Leucine, L-Valine, L-Isoleucine, L-Lysine HCl, L-Phenylalanine, L-Threonine, L-Methionine, L-Tryptophan, L-Histidine, Uridine, Adenosine Triphosphate, Thymidine, Adenine, 2'-Deoxyadenosine, 2'-Deoxyguanosine, 2'-Deoxycytidine

How to Take It

i.

Take 5 tablets per serving. Follow the dosage guidance on the packaging for timing relative to training or meals. Each container provides 30 servings at this dose.

Frequently Asked.

What makes this different from a standard BCAA supplement?

BCAAs contain only three amino acids — leucine, isoleucine, and valine. PerfectAmino provides all nine essential amino acids, giving the body everything it needs for a complete protein-synthesis response. It also includes a nucleotide blend not typically found in amino acid products.

Who is this not suitable for?

Anyone with phenylketonuria (PKU) should avoid this product, as it contains phenylalanine. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or on medication that affects amino acid metabolism, check with your GP or clinician before use.

Can I take this on an empty stomach?

Essential amino acid supplements are generally well tolerated without food, and some people prefer taking them away from meals to avoid competition with dietary protein for absorption. Check the packaging for BodyHealth's specific guidance.

How long before I notice a difference?

With consistent use alongside training or adequate physical activity, changes in recovery and muscle maintenance are typically noticed over several weeks. Amino acids are not a short-term fix — their benefit accumulates with regular intake and appropriate stimulus.

Is this suitable for older adults trying to maintain muscle mass?

Essential amino acids, particularly leucine, are well studied in the context of age-related muscle loss (sarcopenia). A complete essential amino acid supplement may support muscle protein synthesis in older adults, especially when dietary protein intake is inconsistent. It is worth discussing with a clinician if you are managing a diagnosed condition.

Solid addition to my training stack

Been using these for about six weeks now alongside my usual pre-workout. Take four tablets in the morning and a few more post-session. Recovery between heavy lifting days feels noticeably quicker — less of that deep muscle soreness that used to linger into the next morning. Happy with them.

Finally something that fits my vegan diet properly

As someone who doesn't eat animal protein, hitting my amino acid needs through food alone has always been a bit of a puzzle. These cover the full essential profile without any of the fillers I've found in other brands. I take them before my morning run and feel like my legs recover faster between sessions. Will be reordering.

Good product, but 30 servings goes fast

The tablets themselves are fine — no coating, no weird aftertaste, easy enough to swallow. My main issue is that at the recommended serving, a single container lasts me barely three weeks. At £52 a pop that adds up quickly. The formula seems solid and I've noticed a real difference in how I feel during back-to-back training days, but I wish they offered a larger tub.

Great for marathon prep

Started taking these when I ramped up mileage for my spring marathon. Combined them with my usual magnesium and omega-3 and I've had a really consistent training block — fewer niggles than this time last year. Not sure I can attribute it all to these but they're staying in my routine regardless.

Swapped from a cheaper EAA powder and honestly the difference in how I feel during recovery weeks is noticeable. These just seem cleaner. No fuss.

Recommended by my physio

Coming back from a shoulder injury and my physio suggested looking into essential amino acids to support tissue repair alongside my rehab exercises. Did my research and landed on these. It's been about eight weeks and I feel like I'm progressing well — obviously can't say how much is the physio work versus the supplement, but I'm not stopping either.
