About This Product.

LMNT Recharge in Unflavoured Salt is a concentrated electrolyte mix built around three minerals: sodium, potassium, and magnesium. It contains no flavourings, sweeteners, or additives — just the electrolytes themselves. That makes it genuinely versatile: it can be stirred into water, added to a smoothie, or mixed into any drink without altering the taste.

Electrolyte depletion is common in people who train hard, follow a low-carbohydrate diet, fast intermittently, or simply sweat heavily in warm conditions. In those contexts, plain water is often not enough. Sodium is the primary electrolyte lost in sweat and governs fluid retention at a cellular level; potassium and magnesium support muscle contraction, nerve signalling, and recovery. Getting the balance right matters more than most people realise — symptoms like muscle cramps, fatigue, and brain fog are frequently electrolyte-related rather than hydration-related.

The unflavoured format suits people who find most sports drinks too sweet, those who are sensitive to sweeteners, or anyone who simply wants to add electrolyte support without committing to a particular flavour. It also works well for those who take their electrolytes in coffee or broth rather than water.

LMNT is a brand that has built its reputation specifically in the electrolyte space, with a formulation designed around higher sodium levels than most mainstream sports drinks. It is a focused, no-filler product — and that focus is the point.

How to Take It

i.

Mix one packet into water or your preferred drink. The unflavoured format works in cold water, coffee, broth, or smoothies. Follow the dosage guidance on the packaging and adjust intake based on sweat output and dietary context.

Frequently Asked.

Who is this product particularly suited to?

It works well for people in heavy training, those following a low-carbohydrate or ketogenic diet, intermittent fasters, and anyone who sweats heavily. All of these states increase electrolyte loss beyond what food and plain water typically replace.

Why does this have more sodium than most sports drinks?

Sodium is the dominant electrolyte in sweat and the one most likely to be genuinely depleted through exercise or dietary restriction. Many mainstream sports drinks contain relatively little sodium. LMNT is formulated to address that gap more directly.

Is this suitable if I am watching my sodium intake for blood pressure reasons?

If you have been advised to limit sodium — for hypertension or a kidney condition, for example — speak with your GP or prescribing clinician before using a high-sodium electrolyte product. This is not a product to add without that conversation.

How does the unflavoured version differ from the rest of the LMNT range?

The mineral content is the same as the flavoured variants. The unflavoured version simply contains no sweeteners, flavourings, or colourants, which makes it tasteless and suitable for mixing into any drink without affecting the flavour profile.

How long before I notice a difference?

For acute symptoms like mid-exercise cramping or post-workout fatigue, some people notice an improvement within a single session. For more general benefits — sustained energy, better sleep, reduced brain fog — consistent use over one to two weeks gives a more meaningful picture.

Quietly essential

I've been adding this to my morning coffee for about six weeks now and honestly didn't expect much. The difference in afternoon energy levels has been noticeable — less of that mid-afternoon slump I'd always chalked up to bad sleep. No taste, no faff. Just works.

First impression: surprisingly subtle

Was genuinely unsure what to expect from an unflavoured electrolyte sachet — half expected it to taste like drinking seawater. It doesn't. Stirred one into my morning coffee and couldn't detect it at all. That first sip where nothing tastes off is actually the whole sell for me. I've been through two boxes now and it's just quietly become part of the routine. No drama, no sweetener aftertaste, just feels like everything works a bit better on training days.

Finally an electrolyte that doesn't taste of anything

Every other electrolyte I've tried has had some sweetener or flavouring that I can detect no matter what I mix it into. This one genuinely doesn't. Goes in my water bottle before a run and I can't tell it's there — except that I don't cramp up anymore.

Does exactly what it says. No flavour, no nonsense. Use it daily.

Great product, price stings a little

Genuinely like this — I mix it into broth every morning and it's become part of my routine. My only gripe is the price per serving when you work it out. At £44.99 it's not cheap and I find myself rationing it a bit more than I'd like. Would still buy again though.

PS

Sorted my post-workout cramps

Was getting calf cramps almost every time I did a long session on the bike. A friend who's a physio suggested my electrolytes were off rather than my hydration. Tried this, and within two weeks the cramps had basically stopped. I was sceptical but here we are.
