The Wellness8 September 2026Last reviewed 8 September 2026
A private GP benefit for employees in London is priced per employee per month. The Wellness charges £12, £25 or £95 depending on whether people are seen by telephone, in the room in Marylebone, or at their own office. A pilot is ten people for one month at the tier price.
Employer health cover in London reaches a GP by three different routes, and the prices are not comparable because they buy different things.
The first is an insurer. Bupa, AXA and Vitality bundle a virtual GP into corporate private medical insurance, so the doctor arrives as a feature of a policy that exists to pay for hospital treatment. The GP line has no price of its own because it is not sold on its own.
The second is a clinic group selling appointments. You buy a block at a rate per appointment and your people draw them down. London Doctors Clinic runs sixteen sites on this model and puts occupational health through a hospital partner. The rate is transparent and the doctor is whoever is free.
The third is a named doctor, priced per employee per month, whether or not that person is used in a given month. That is what we sell, and it is the only one of the three where the same doctor sees the same person twice.
Three tiers, all per employee per month on an annual contract. Doctor the same day is £12 and covers a telephone consultation with a GP the same day, video within one working day, prescriptions, sick notes and referral letters. Doctor the same day, in the room too is £25 and adds video the same day and a chair in Marylebone the same day, with one named doctor who knows your company. Executive is £95 and adds a doctor who comes to the office or the home, and a yearly review with an Advanced Health blood panel of 55 markers.
Every tier includes wai Doctor free for every person covered, and it stays free for them after a pilot ends whether or not you sign.
A pilot is ten people, one month, at the tier price and nothing else. There is no demo, because there is nothing to demonstrate except a doctor answering the telephone.
The catalogue on this site is the same catalogue that runs our checkout, so the comparison is exact. A telephone consultation is £59, a standard appointment £150, a same day appointment £220, and a visit to a home, hotel or office £400. A consultant psychiatrist assessment is £895.
At £12 per employee per month, a person costs £144 a year to cover. That is two telephone consultations and change. The tier pays for itself on the second call any of your people make.
The numbers below are the reason a finance director signs this, and each one is somebody else’s count rather than ours.
Work the arithmetic on your own headcount rather than on an average. A hundred people at £12 per employee per month is £1,200 a month and £14,400 a year. The same hundred people, at the national rate, lose 940 working days a year, and at £120 a day that absence costs £112,800. So the benefit has to remove about 120 of those 940 days to pay for itself.
We cannot tell you it will. We have not measured absence on our own book and we will not publish somebody else’s result as if it were ours. What we can tell you is the number the benefit has to beat, which is more than most people selling this will put in writing.
The trial evidence for workplace wellness programmes is weak. Song and Baicker randomised 160 worksites and published the result in JAMA in 2019. After eighteen months the programme had improved self reported habits and made no significant difference to clinical measures, healthcare spending or absence.
A doctor the same day is a different product from a wellness programme, and the evidence around it is better. A 2024 systematic review in the American Journal of Medicine found that concierge and direct primary care models were associated with fewer emergency visits and hospital admissions and higher patient satisfaction. It is an association across other people’s cohorts, not a randomised trial, and we would rather say that than round it up.
This is not private medical insurance and it does not pay for hospital treatment. It sits beside a PMI policy and covers the part that policy leaves to the NHS.
We are one clinic in Marylebone. Video and telephone reach anyone in the United Kingdom. In person reaches London. If most of your people work outside London, half the benefit does not reach them, and you should know that before a pilot rather than after.
Psychiatry is billed separately at £895 for a consultant assessment, or added to the plan. Specialist navigation is £295 a case, and a liaison offers a first appointment within 48 hours when it is urgent and five working days when it is routine.
You receive numbers in aggregate and never who or why. An occupational health report reaches you only with the written consent of the person it is about.

Ten people for one month, at the tier price, with no contract beyond it. At the end you receive a one page report in aggregate only and a price for everyone.
For that tier, yes, on an annual contract after a pilot. Psychiatry and specialist navigation are priced separately and named on this page, and nothing else is added later.
Telephone and video reach them the same day. The room in Marylebone does not. On a mostly regional headcount the £12 tier is the honest one to buy, and we will say so on the call rather than sell you the £25.
The doctor and the employee. You receive counts, never names and never reasons. An occupational health report goes to you only with that person’s written consent.
