Sound familiar

If this is you, it is worth knowing why.

Hay fever that arrives every spring
Congestion or a runny nose all year round
Sneezing, itchy eyes or a tight chest near pets
Reactions, hives or eczema you cannot explain
What we look for

One draw. The full allergic picture.

Allergy symptoms rarely have one obvious cause. A single blood sample lets us measure your immune response across the airborne and food triggers that matter, and, at the highest level, down to the individual proteins inside each one. So you find the real culprit, not a guess.

How modern allergy testing actually works
Watch, three minutes, what specific IgE and molecular testing reveal
Why this is more advanced

Most tests see a blur. We see the proteins.

A basic test sees the whole allergen and stops. A whole peanut. A cloud of pollen. Molecular testing goes inside, to the individual proteins, and tells a real allergy apart from a harmless cross-reaction.

That is the difference between needless avoidance and real clarity about your risk. It is the level of detail a Doctor needs to give you a plan you can trust.

0%of adult allergies a basic total-IgE test can miss
The part nobody else gives you

A report, not a portal.

Most tests hand you a portal of numbers and leave you to interpret it. We do the opposite. Every result is turned into a personalised report, then a Doctor sits with you and explains what it means for your life, your home and your choices, with a plan you can start straight away.

Questions

Good to know.

What is an allergy test and what does it measure?+
An allergy blood test, also called a specific IgE test, measures the antibodies your immune system makes when it reacts to an allergen such as pollen, dust mites, pet dander, mould or a food. One sample can screen for many triggers at once, and the result shows what you are sensitised to.
Which test is right for hay fever, dust or pet allergies?+
Hay fever, dust and pet symptoms are all airborne triggers, so an environmental panel covering pollens, dust mites, animal dander and moulds is the usual starting point. For the sharpest picture, the molecular profile pinpoints the exact proteins and separates a true allergy from a harmless cross-reaction.
What is component-resolved, or molecular, allergy testing?+
It is the most advanced form of allergy blood testing. Instead of reading a whole allergen, it breaks it into its individual proteins and measures your reaction to each. That distinguishes a genuine allergy from a cross-reaction and clarifies your real risk, which a basic test cannot do.
How accurate is allergy blood testing?+
Specific IgE testing is a validated, highly reproducible method used worldwide and is highly sensitive and specific for airborne allergens. A total IgE measurement alone can miss a meaningful share of adult allergies, which is why specific and molecular testing, read alongside your symptoms by a Doctor, gives the most reliable answer.
Do I need to stop antihistamines first?+
No. Unlike skin prick testing, a blood test is not affected by antihistamines, so there is no need to stop your medication beforehand. It can also be done if you have a skin condition such as eczema.
Do I need a GP referral?+
No referral is needed. You can book directly, and our Doctors handle interpretation, any prescription and any onward referral if it is required.
How long until I get my results?+
Usually within a few working days. We then arrange your one to one review with a Doctor and send your personalised report.
Who reviews my results?+
A Doctor reviews every result with you, one to one. A raised antibody is not automatically a clinical allergy, so this interpretation is the difference between a list of numbers and a clear plan you can act on.
Is a blood test or a skin prick test better?+
Both measure allergic sensitisation. A blood test needs only one sample, is unaffected by antihistamines, and can include molecular component testing that skin pricking cannot. For most people, and especially anyone testing on a single visit, it is the practical, comprehensive choice.
Can children be tested?+
Yes. A blood test can be done at any age and is often preferred for children because it needs only a single sample. The right panel is chosen with the Doctor at your consultation.
How much does private allergy testing cost in London?+
At The Wellness London it starts at £395 for a focused Foundation Screen, £695 for a Comprehensive Screen across airborne and food triggers, and £1,495 for the Precision Molecular Profile of around 300 components. Every option includes a personalised report and a Doctor review.
