Procurement policy note 002 sets the Social Value Model for procurements started under the Procurement Act 2023 from 1 October 2025, with a minimum weighting of 10% of the total score. It is built as five government missions and eight policy outcomes, and buying authorities are told to choose the outcomes that matter to the contract rather than to score all of them.
What follows is what we already do, with the outcome it sits under. Nothing here was written because it scores well, and where we do nothing under an outcome we have left it out rather than filled it.
The academy teaches clinicians procedures they would otherwise wait years on a rota to learn, and it takes doctors who are not yet consultants. It runs from the clinic, taught by the clinicians who do the work.
We run an 8 week summer internship in London for medical and computer science students, building the software the clinic uses. It is open to people with no prior contact inside medicine, which is the barrier that decides most medical careers before a qualification does.
The clinic sees people the same day, by telephone and video across the United Kingdom and in person in Marylebone. Every appointment we take is an appointment that does not go somewhere else, and for an employer that is the whole of what they are buying.
Publishing our own operating figures, time to first appointment and the proportion of results returned within 24 hours, is agreed and not yet done. It sits in the Trust Centre with a month against it rather than being described here as though it had happened.
Part of the engineering and operations work behind wai is done in Egypt, in roles that are paid and permanent rather than outsourced by the hour. It is a small team and we are not going to describe it as a programme.
We hold no environmental certification and we have not measured our emissions, so we make no environmental claim at all. A carbon reduction plan is written when a contract requires one, and procurement policy note 06/21 requires one above £5m a year, which is well above anything we bid for today.
We have no apprenticeship scheme and no supported employment programme. Both are worth doing and neither exists, so neither is on this page.
