What each clinic does well

Harley Street Skin Clinic tells you exactly who gives the injection, pricing by the seniority of the doctor, which is the most transparent staffing page we found.

Dermamina includes LED light therapy in every session price and prices the combinations with mesotherapy and a laser openly.

PRP London Clinic prices three grades of treatment on one page, including the enhanced plasma option, each as a per-session figure.

Wimpole Clinic publishes an honest market range of £175 to £850 a session beside its own price.

INNODERM publishes the lowest single session price we verified, from £195, and prices courses of 4 and 6 sessions.

When another clinic is the right choice

Four clinics in this table charge less per session than The Wellness. INNODERM starts at £195 and PRP London Clinic and Wimpole Clinic at £295, against our from £450, and INNODERM’s course of 4 works out at £156 a session. If price decides it and your pattern of loss is straightforward, those clinics will cost less. Where we would caution is booking any course before a doctor has examined your scalp, because PRP helps some patterns of loss and not others.

Ask a doctor whether PRP fits your hair loss

Message us about your pattern of loss and a doctor will tell you whether PRP, a prescription foam or something else makes sense. Messages are usually answered within minutes.

Ask about PRP

Questions to ask any PRP clinic

  • Who decides whether PRP suits my pattern of loss, and are they a doctor?
  • Who gives the injection, and what are their qualifications?
  • Whether the injection is PRP alone, or PRP combined with mesotherapy, exosomes or a laser?
  • How many sessions are in the course, and what does each session cost once the course ends?
  • What happens if it does not work for me?

How to read a PRP price

Compare one session against the same session elsewhere. A session can be PRP alone or PRP with mesotherapy, LED or a laser, and the combinations cost more.

Divide the course price by the number of sessions. INNODERM’s course of 4 at £624 is £156 a session, against £195 booked one at a time.

Check what secures the appointment. Our consultation is £150 with £50 credited against the first session; INNODERM takes a £50 deposit.

Ask what “advanced” or “enhanced” PRP means before paying for it. PRP London Clinic prices its MCT plasma option separately from £450.

What the evidence says

In a 2019 meta-analysis, 3 monthly PRP injections improved total hair density against placebo by a mean of 25.61 hairs per cm2 (95% CI 4.45 to 46.77). The authors caution that the included studies used a half-head design, which may have flattered the result. Gupta and colleagues, The efficacy of platelet-rich plasma in the field of hair restoration and facial aesthetics, a systematic review and meta-analysis, Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, 2019

A 2023 meta-analysis of 11 randomised controlled trials found PRP significantly increased the number of hair follicles, hair thickness and density compared with placebo. Autologous platelet-rich plasma treatment for androgenic alopecia, a systematic review and meta-analysis of clinical trials, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, 2023

The evidence is for pattern hair loss, in people who still have hair to keep. PRP does not regrow a bald scalp, and study protocols vary enough that results differ between clinics. Gupta and colleagues, The efficacy of platelet-rich plasma in the field of hair restoration and facial aesthetics, a systematic review and meta-analysis, Journal of Cutaneous Medicine and Surgery, 2019

  • The clinic promises to regrow hair on a bald scalp.
  • Nobody can tell you who gives the injection or what is in it.
  • The course price hides the per-session price.
  • Before and after photographs carry no dates or timeframes.

A course is 3 to 4 sessions about a month apart, and we will tell you plainly if your pattern of loss is past the point where PRP helps, because it does not regrow a bald scalp. What else people ask

At the six clinics on this page, a single session costs from £195 at INNODERM to £900 with the lead doctor at Harley Street Skin Clinic. Most clinics sell a course at a lower price per session. At The Wellness, PRP for hair loss costs from £450 a session, three sessions for £1,215, after a £150 consultation with £50 credited against the first session. We read each price on the clinic's own website on 17 October 2026.

The evidence says it can help pattern hair loss, and it does not regrow a bald scalp. A 2019 meta-analysis found 3 monthly PRP injections improved hair density against placebo, and a 2023 review of 11 randomised trials found the same for follicle number, thickness and density. The studies vary in how the PRP is prepared, so results vary between clinics. A doctor should examine your scalp before you book, because PRP helps some patterns of loss and not others.

Most clinics recommend a course of 3 to 4 sessions about a month apart, then maintenance sessions. At The Wellness a course is 3 to 4 sessions, and three sessions cost £1,215.

PRP uses platelets concentrated from your own blood. Some clinics combine it with mesotherapy, a mix of vitamins and nutrients injected into the scalp, or with LED light or a laser, and charge more for the combination. PRP London Clinic charges £325 for PRP with mesotherapy against £295 for PRP alone, and Dermamina charges £400 for PRP with mesotherapy and LED.

At The Wellness a doctor examines your scalp first, because PRP helps some patterns of loss and not others, and £50 of the £150 consultation fee is credited against your first session. INNODERM takes a £50 deposit to secure the appointment. Wherever you go, a scalp examination should come before any course is sold.
