Where somebody should choose one of the others

HCA at £600 a year is a tenth of our entry membership and it buys unlimited GP appointments and a screen. If what you want is an appointment when you need one and nothing else, that is the better purchase and we would say so before taking your money. Doctorcall at £15 a month is cheaper again and charges each appointment separately, which suits somebody who sees a doctor twice a year.

What the difference buys

One physician who holds fifty households and knows yours. Same day, without a cap and without a fair use clause. The executive physical, the panels and the visits inside the fee rather than beside it. And the price on this page rather than an email to an advisor.

What people ask

Doctorcall from £15 a month is the cheapest membership in this comparison, with appointments charged separately. HCA My HCA GP at £600 a year is the cheapest membership that includes unlimited GP appointments and an annual screen.

Three of the six do. The Wellness, HCA and Doctorcall publish figures, and so does The Online GP. HealthClic and The London General Practice ask you to enquire, and Cleveland Clinic London's concierge programme asks you to email an advisor. Every figure here was checked on 8 September 2026.

No. A membership pays for the doctor. Insurance pays for hospital treatment. A membership does not cover an operation, a hospital stay or a consultant bill, and insurance does not usually get you an appointment today.

At The Wellness a telephone consultation is £59, an appointment is £150, a same day urgent appointment is £220 and a visit to your home or hotel is £400. Membership is worth more than paying per appointment above roughly eight consultations a year.

Your physician reads your results before you do, and rings if there is anything in them.
