What a full health check costs in Paris
A full health check in Paris costs up to €18,000 for Zoī's Ultimate, a year of care that begins with a one to two day check-up, and €1,945 to €4,990 including VAT for a single assessment with a published price. The American Hospital of Paris and ELSAN quote prices on request, and the Sécurité sociale does not reimburse a private check.

The prices, from the most complete down
The highest price a Paris provider publishes is €18,000 including VAT, for Zoī's Ultimate. It begins with a check-up over one to two days, with more than 200 biomarkers and seven kinds of imaging including MRI. It then adds follow-up consultations at 3, 6 and 9 months, three DEXA scans and a year of medical concierge [1].
For a single assessment, the top published price is €4,990 including VAT for Zoī Signature, which takes four and a half hours and measures more than 150 biomarkers [2]. Zoī Essential costs €3,590 and Zoī Pulse costs €990 [3].
Mieux prices its assessment for people aged 50 and over from €4,260 including VAT, or €3,550 before VAT. That buys 3 hours at the centre, more than 100 biomarkers and 9 imaging exams, among them a coronary CT and a CT of the chest, abdomen and pelvis. Its assessment for people aged 40 to 49 costs from €2,460 [4].
Paris Prévention sells its Premium check for €1,945 including VAT. The price covers an abdominal ultrasound, a cardiac examination with Doppler, an eye examination and a year of telephone follow-up with the coordinating doctor [5].
Adding an MRI to the assessment
Mieux lists a brain MRI and an MRI of cardiovascular age as options on its assessment for people over 50. It prints €3,850 or €4,050 for one and €4,350 for both, before VAT [4]. The page does not say whether these figures are the whole price with the assessment or an addition to it, so ask Mieux for a written quote before you decide.
Prices you have to ask for
The American Hospital of Paris describes each of its check-up programmes in full, from a half day general check to a full day for women at menopause, and neither its page nor its brochure gives a price [6] [7]. You ask its Check-Up Center for a figure.
The brochure lists a general check, the same check with a cardiac work-up or a gynaecological examination, and two full day programmes for women, one of them for perimenopause and menopause [7]. Ask for the written list of tests with the quote, so you can compare it line by line with a published package.
ELSAN runs half day checks at two Paris centres, Centre médical Paris République and Montaigne Santé. It says the price of a complete check varies with several factors and asks you to contact it for a quote [8].
What the difference in price buys
Most of the gap between the cheapest and the dearest single assessment is imaging, the number of blood markers and the time a doctor spends with you. Zoī Essential lists more than 70 biomarkers and 4 imaging exams, and Zoī Signature more than 150 biomarkers and 5 [3]. Paris Prévention charges cancer markers, mammography and a testosterone test on top, when they are needed [5].
Ask for the full list of tests in writing before you pay, and ask which results lead to a second stage. Paris Prévention notes that a calcium score, a coronary scan or a colonoscopy advised after its check is covered by Assurance Maladie [5]. ELSAN states that the check itself is not reimbursed by the Sécurité sociale, so ask your employer or your mutuelle whether they contribute [8]. If you are between 45 and 50, 60 and 65 or 70 and 75, Assurance Maladie covers a Mon bilan prévention appointment of 30 to 45 minutes in full [9].
Ask as well what happens after the day. Find out whether the package includes a specialist, a repeat test or a further scan when a result needs one, and whether the same doctor arranges it. Paris Prévention includes a year of telephone follow-up, and Zoī Signature includes 12 months of follow-up in its app with consultations at 3 and 9 months [5] [2].
What a health check can and cannot do
A broad check for everyone has a weak record. A Cochrane review of 17 trials, 15 of which reported results for 251,891 people, found that general health checks had little or no effect on deaths from any cause or from cancer [10].
Tests aimed at a known risk do better. In 6,722 adults without heart symptoms, a coronary calcium score above 300 carried almost ten times the risk of a heart attack or other coronary event of a score of zero [11]. In 11,092 adults, an HbA1c between 6.0% and 6.5% carried more than four times the later risk of diabetes of a level between 5.0% and 5.5% [12]. Each of those results changes what a doctor advises.

Questions
How much is a full health check in Paris?
A single assessment with a published price costs €1,945 to €4,990 including VAT, from Paris Prévention's Premium check to Zoī Signature. Zoī's Ultimate, a year of care, costs €18,000. The American Hospital of Paris and ELSAN give their prices on request.
Is a health check reimbursed in France?
ELSAN states that health checks are not reimbursed by the Sécurité sociale. Some employers and mutuelles contribute, so ask yours. Further tests advised after a check, such as a calcium score, can be covered by Assurance Maladie, as Paris Prévention notes.
Does a Paris health check include an MRI?
Two published options include one. Mieux lists a brain MRI and an MRI of cardiovascular age as options for people over 50, and Zoī's Ultimate year includes MRI among seven kinds of imaging. Ask which part of the body each MRI covers.
Is an expensive health check worth it?
The evidence favours tests chosen for your risks over long general lists. A Cochrane review of 17 trials found that general health checks had little or no effect on deaths, while a test such as a coronary calcium score changes what a doctor advises.
