Health checks
Private health checks in London
A health check is worth having when a doctor reads the result with you and acts on it. A Core panel of 30 markers read by a doctor is £350. Below are the main checks the clinic offers, from a single blood panel to a programme that runs for a year, each with its price.
What it is
A health assessment measures the things that predict what happens to you, then decides what to do about them. Blood pressure, lipids, blood sugar, kidney and liver function, and an examination. Everything else on a programme is an addition to that core.
The value is not in the number of markers. It is in whether somebody reads them against your age, your family history and your risk, and whether anything happens as a result.
Who it is for
People who feel well and want to know their risk while there is still time to change it. Raised blood pressure, raised cholesterol and a raised HbA1c are all silent, which is why they are measured rather than waited for.
Your family history is the strongest guide to what a check should look for. A first degree relative with heart disease under 60, or with bowel, breast or ovarian cancer, changes both what is measured and when it starts.
If you want one marker checked once, a cheaper postal test does the job. If you have symptoms now, see a doctor rather than book a check.
What happens
The appointment starts with the history, because that decides which tests are worth running. Then blood pressure, height, weight and waist, an examination, and bloods.
Every blood sample is a venous draw taken by a phlebotomist. Results come back in 24 to 48 hours and the plan is written the same week. On the executive physical, the results are reviewed with you before you leave.
Where a result crosses a threshold, the next step is arranged at the appointment rather than described in a report you take away.

Prices are the booking catalogue’s, the same figures checkout charges. The executive health page offers the same three programmes as the longevity page, under executive names and at the same prices. Where a row shows no figure, the catalogue does not list it and its own page explains how it is arranged.
What it cannot do
- Testing more things finds more things, and some of what it finds would never have troubled you. Every additional marker carries a chance of a result that leads to another test, and that is a cost of screening rather than a benefit of it.
- A check cannot guarantee anything. It shifts probabilities, and a normal result does not mean you will not be unwell next year.
- A cheaper panel with no doctor attached leaves out the examination, the history, the interpretation and the pathway when something abnormal appears.
- One panel is a snapshot. The value comes from a doctor reading it against your history, and from tracking the same markers over time.
When to see a doctor
- Chest pain or tightness, especially on exertion. Call 999 if it is severe or persists at rest
- Sudden weakness in the face, arm or leg, or sudden difficulty speaking. Call 999
- Unexplained weight loss, night sweats or a lump that is growing
- Coughing blood, or blood in the urine or stool
- Breathlessness that has come on over days
These need a doctor now, not a health check. Book a same-day GP appointment. If you are severely unwell, go to your nearest emergency department or call 999.
Common questions
How much is a private health check in London?
A Core blood panel of 30 markers, read by a doctor, is £350. The Advanced panel is £650 and Longevity+ is £1,395. The executive physical, a full day with one physician, is £2,995, and the longevity programmes run from £6,995 to £34,995.
How fast are the results?
Blood results come back in 24 to 48 hours and the plan is written the same week. On the executive physical, the results are reviewed with you before you leave.
What is the difference between the executive and longevity programmes?
None in what you get. The executive health page offers the same three programmes as the longevity page, under executive names and at the same prices.
Is a cheaper blood test good enough?
It depends on what you want. If you want one marker checked once, a cheaper postal test does the job. Paying more buys a wider panel, a doctor who explains the results to you, and results tracked over time so change is visible.
Does a normal result mean I am well?
No. A check shifts probabilities and cannot guarantee anything, and a normal result does not mean you will not be unwell next year. If you have symptoms, see a doctor whatever your last result said.
