The office is on Devonshire Street, a short walk from our clinic on Baker Street, so a citizen can be seen there or at home the same afternoon.

What does the office need to send with a letter of guarantee?
The letter itself, the patient’s full name and date of birth as their passport gives them, a telephone number and where they are staying. With those we can confirm the same working day.
Can a family member stay in the room during the consultation?
Yes. A companion or a parent can stay throughout, and a companion who also needs a doctor can be seen at the same visit.
What if the patient needs a specialist after seeing the GP?
The GP writes the referral to a consultant on the GMC Specialist Register, through One Heart Clinic or Guy’s and St Thomas’ Specialist Care, and the office is told before the appointment is made.
