Private doctors in London for citizens of the United Arab Emirates

The Wellness sees citizens of the United Arab Emirates the same day in Marylebone and Belgravia, or at their hotel or home in London, with a doctor who speaks Arabic. The UAE Medical Attaché Office receives a written report as soon as each consultation ends, with a copy for the citizen.

Same day appointments for Emirati visitors

A citizen of the United Arab Emirates is seen the same day, understood in Arabic, and the UAE Medical Attaché Office hears from us at every step.

Many Emirati families spend the summer in Knightsbridge and Mayfair, and our Belgravia clinic and home visits are planned around those months.

Arabic speaking doctors and team

Emirati families ask for Dr Adel Elalfy, who consults in Arabic. Women may ask for a woman doctor such as Dr Heidi Hamer, and a husband, parent or companion can be seen in the same appointment.

Reports to the office

The UAE Medical Attaché Office receives the report as soon as the consultation ends, written to go straight to the ministry in the United Arab Emirates, with a copy for the citizen the same day.

Care in our other cities

From London a Emirati patient can continue care in any of our 12 other cities, with the record sent ahead with their consent.

How it works with a letter of guarantee

  1. 01

    The office writes

Where the UAE Medical Attaché Office sponsors the care, it sends us a letter of guarantee naming the Emirati patient, the care covered and the dates.

  2. 02

    We confirm

The same working day we confirm the Emirati letter and agree a time.

  3. 03

    The visit

A doctor sees the patient in clinic, at the hotel or at home.

  4. 04

    The report

The report reaches the UAE Medical Attaché Office as soon as the consultation ends.

  5. 05

    The invoice

The invoice to the UAE Medical Attaché Office follows the letter line for line.

What the UAE Medical Attaché Office sends us

The letter of guarantee, the Emirati patient’s name and date of birth as the passport gives them, a telephone number, and where they are staying in London.

Referral to senior consultants

When a Emirati patient needs a specialist, our doctors refer to consultants on the GMC Specialist Register through One Heart Clinic, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Specialist Care at the Royal Brompton Diagnostic Centre.

Questions

Can an Emirati patient with a Thiqa card be seen by The Wellness?

Yes, as a private patient. Thiqa cover in London runs through Assist America, according to the embassy, and we have no arrangement with either. The patient pays at the visit and receives an itemised invoice and a report to claim with, unless the Medical Attaché Office has sent a letter of guarantee.

How quickly can a doctor reach an Emirati family in Knightsbridge?

A doctor usually reaches them the same day. A doctor calls first, then visits the hotel or home, or the family comes to our Belgravia clinic on Eccleston Street.

Does the Medical Attaché Office hear from you after each visit?

When the office is sponsoring the care and the patient agrees, the report goes to the office as soon as the consultation ends, with the same report to the patient.

Can a woman see a woman doctor?

Yes. Ask when you refer, and we arrange the appointment with a woman GP. A husband, a parent or a companion can stay in the room.

Can care begun in London continue in Dubai?

Yes. The Wellness is in Dubai too, and with the patient’s consent the doctor there reads the London record before the first appointment.
