Private doctors in London for citizens of Qatar
The Wellness sees citizens of Qatar the same day in Marylebone and Belgravia, or at their hotel or home in London, with a doctor who speaks Arabic. The Qatar Medical Section receives a written report as soon as each consultation ends, with a copy for the citizen.

Same day appointments for Qatari patients
Qatari patients see a doctor the day they call, in their own language, and the Qatar Medical Section knows where the care stands.
The Medical Section is in Earl’s Court, and our Belgravia clinic is the nearer of our two for a Qatari patient staying in Kensington or Chelsea.
Arabic speaking doctors and team
For Qatari patients, Dr Adel Elalfy consults in Arabic. Dr Heidi Hamer sees women who prefer a woman doctor, and a companion is seen at the same visit when they need it.
Reports to the office
The Qatar Medical Section has our report as soon as the consultation ends, set out so the ministry in Qatar can read it as it is.
Care in our other cities
The Wellness is in 13 cities. A Qatari patient who begins care in London can continue it with our partners in the next city, and with consent the record goes too.
How it works with a letter of guarantee
- 01
The office writes
Where the Qatar Medical Section sponsors the care, it sends us a letter of guarantee naming the Qatari patient, the care covered and the dates.
- 02
We confirm
We confirm the letter for the Qatar Medical Section the same working day.
- 03
The visit
The visit is in clinic or at the hotel, in Arabic or English.
- 04
The report
The report reaches the Qatar Medical Section as soon as the consultation ends.
- 05
The invoice
The invoice to the Qatar Medical Section follows the letter line for line.
What the Qatar Medical Section sends us
The letter of guarantee, the Qatari patient’s name and date of birth as the passport gives them, a telephone number, and where they are staying in London.
Referral to senior consultants
When a Qatari patient needs a specialist, our doctors refer to consultants on the GMC Specialist Register through One Heart Clinic, and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Specialist Care at the Royal Brompton Diagnostic Centre.

Refer a citizen
For the Qatar Medical Section and the Qatari families it looks after. A doctor calls the patient once the form is in.

Questions
Can you see a Qatari patient who is in London for treatment abroad?
Yes, for the primary care around the treatment, such as a fever, a prescription, a blood test or a companion who is unwell. We do not replace the hospital the ministry has chosen, and we write to it when the patient agrees.
Can a companion travelling with a patient see a doctor?
Yes. Companions are often the ones who fall ill on a long stay. They can be seen at the same visit as the patient, at the hotel or at our Belgravia clinic.
Does the Qatar Medical Section receive the report?
When it is sponsoring the visit and the patient consents, yes, as soon as the consultation ends. The patient has the same report the same day.
What details does a referral need?
The patient’s name, a telephone number, where they are staying and a line on what they need. A guarantee or reference number can be added if there is one.
Which doctor speaks Arabic?
Our primary care lead consults in Arabic and English, and his profile is on our doctors page. For other languages we bring an interpreter onto the call before the visit.
