The PRP facial, often called the vampire facial, uses platelets concentrated from your own blood, applied to the skin during microneedling. The aim is better texture and tone through growth factor stimulation, not a changed face. Sessions are £525, typically three or more, four to six weeks apart.

A small blood sample is drawn, similar to a routine blood test, and numbing cream is applied to the face while it is prepared.
The sample is centrifuged for 10-15 minutes to separate and concentrate the platelets, and the platelet-rich layer is prepared for application.
PRP is applied to the skin during microneedling, so the growth factors reach the layers where collagen is made. Expect two to three days of mild swelling afterwards.

PRP therapy may improve texture and tone through growth factor stimulation. It suits skin that looks tired or crepey rather than skin that needs volume or muscle relaxation, and it works best combined with microneedling or other modalities.
